Happy September. This edition of the Flower Essence and Astro healing energy report arriving a little early. The energy of September month kicks off with a potent new moon in late August.
Virgo New Moon 30th August
Virgo energy is organized. Symbolized by the Virgin, meaning wholeness, routines, and natural cycles. This new moon is an ideal time to plant seeds as it’s the beginning of this new cycle.
A month to simplify.
Creativity could be on high speed, as some of us move through a very inspirational phase. Caused by what’s known as a harmonious aspect as Earth Grand Trine. An aspect to earth signs where material and manifestation success, building things for long-term magnifies.
Sow the seeds. The time is perfect. Plans, wants and needs, and ideas. It’s a powerful new moon.

Earth is Where It’s At
With so many planets in earth signs this month. Things may feel heavy for some. Hang in there. It’s good to be grounded. Nourishing with good food and sleep.
September offers opportunities to forge new relationships. Promote, and advocate who, what you want and are. Our sense of purpose, strong.
Virgo is the earth sign also aligned with Mercury. It’s about getting organized, clearing out and making space. Space for the new to enter.
Embody what you learn. Shake that booty and move any stagnation. We’re being prepared for what’s to come early next year.
If you’re feeling confused, lack direction, or had knocks to the esteem. Fret not. Let this play out as you find a new balance in life and love. Our value system is changing. You’re being asked to clarify what this is and to go deeper within our human journey.
Things may move slower this month than they did last month.
Our minds may be sharp and our tongues even sharper. Be mindful of the power of your word. This includes not buying into inner (and even outer) criticism. Compassion for others and the self is vital this month. Virgo is renowned for its sense of being “perfect.”
As we speak, thousands of hectares of the Amazon rainforest is burning at a mile a minute. The Amazon is responsible for the balance to our natural world. It supplies 20% of the earth’s oxygen. There’re fears around what this will mean for our planet. This fire is part of the Brazilian government’s deforestation initiative. As a consequence our oxygen resource is being destroyed to make way for more agricultural land.
Lately, I’ve felt somewhat powerless. It seems to be a theme for the year maybe? Life sends us big lessons to see how’ll we’ll manage. Hopefully finding the gifts within the challenging phases.
With these facts emblazoned in my brain, I felt a sense of foreboding. Something I couldn’t shake. Instead of falling into a sense of worry and despair. I was reminded of a very special meditation practice.
Intention, Hope and Reverence
Some years ago, I would visit my friend, Cate Juno – a Shingon Buddhist monk (initiated by his Holiness the Dali Lama). Opened her temple Wabi’an, to her community. Coming together in prayer, and chanting. We’d take tea and connect through the sacred energy of Wabi’an and all it had to offer.
I’d always feel a sense of awe here. It’s a powerful place. I came to understand the essence of surrender and allowing the old to be transformed into the new. It was a safe place to do so. The power of intention played a significant part of my life from here on in.
Before meeting Cate, I witnessed her on pilgrimage journey. Cate took an amazing 1000 km pilgrimage through the western part of Japan. Her journey is inspiring. A pilgrimage that had started some 1200 years prior. A sacred path kept hidden. Now reopened by the Buddhist monks of Japan in 2009.
An opportunity not to be missed, Cate took on the same ancient pilgrim path that year.
Cate visited all 33 temples. Carrying prayers embodied with the Heart Sutra from her followers, friends and family. Each dedicated to the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Healing, Kannon or Kuan yin. I was lucky enough to be included in this mix.
Kuan Yin is a deity “One Who Hears the Cries of the World”. Kuan Yin is said to continue to fulfil her vow to save all beings from suffering.
And now for some reason, I’ve been called back to this prayer, and this offering.
Cate gave me the sutra of prayer – the Heart Sutra in Japanese. It was not something I understood yet I always felt in each and every time I sat and traced the Japanese letters of the sutra some part of it would transfer to me. Then I’d write my prayers on the back of it.
A teaching that helps us to understand the very essence of our reality. Why and how we are here. Getting to the heart of any matter.
I trust as I do this again – I send prayers for a quick resolution for the place that is the major source for the air we breathe. The Amazon Jungle. For all it inhabits and all that rely on it for sustenance. Intention is power.
I feel such a deep sense of humility at this time. Maybe this is why my time at Waib’ian has come to the forefront of my mind. It has been an incredibly deep year. Maybe this is my way of making sense of it all.
Many of us have had to sit in a place of deep contemplation. Review our lives, relationships moving on, dynamics and values changing and where we fit amongst it all. How what we know fits into the context of our life.
If anything, it’s my way of contributing. In a deep and heart centred way. A sentiment akin to me. Deep times require deep and mindful actions.
The Amazon sustains our earth. 20% of our oxygen comes from here. If she burns, what does this mean for us? I can’t even entertain the fact. So, I send prayers. My mind on hope and healing. Not on worry and fear. #emflowerment
Our world needs us now. Our energy. Our intention and our understanding. Our hope.
If you’d like a copy of the Heart sutra, you can email me [email protected]
We can all do our bit to move us onward. This may not be your cup of tea.
You can send a kiss in the sky or a simple thought of support. It all comes from the heart of who you are. All intentions hold this hidden faith in the trust it will manifest. We can invoke it further by feeling it so.
This month is the month you can make shit happen. I have no doubt.
14th Full Moon in Dreamy Pisces
Through this time. Dot your I’s and cross your t’s. Lay low if you find you’re tired, irritable and not feeling quite yourself.
A beautiful Full moon in dreamy Pisces. A time of compassion and patience. A deep moon that can trigger, realign, recenter and agitate. Watch for feelings of anxiety. There’s some deep healing on offer – however we may need to wade through confusion and some muddy emotional waters to get there.
This second week of September might prove to be rather challenging. Starting with this emotional Piscean moon. Awakening some deep emotions. An ideal time to release them in a way a full moon allows.
Pisces likes to merge, so boundaries might be blurred.
There are some aspects with grumpy arse Saturn, soon to move forward out of his retrograde phase. This could put you in a bit a spin – or not. It’s nice to be aware should you come across anything a little untoward.
Saturn moves on
With Saturn moving directly on Sept 18th. It may feel like harvest time for some. There’ll be greater flexibility and understanding of what it means to assume our positions of authority. Whatever you’ve been working hard on. Now you may gain this wink from forward-moving Saturn. You may reap your rewards.
Since April, we’ve had our sense of inner authority challenged. Bouts of self-doubt will wane, and we can step forward and take our place in what it is we want to achieve with this forward movement.
Faith and humility step forward now. The full moon may highlight our crap or that of others. The veil lifted. Having a strong sense of self-love, will make any triggers less triggering. Our mood can soften and we can feel less agitated.
Watch for any reality checks near the Sept 21st.
The Sun moves into the sign of the scales, Libra. This is on the same day of the equinox on the Sept 23rd. This creates a win-win kind of energy. It is pulling us inward to reflect.
Spring equinox in the southern hemisphere. Autumn equinox in the northern. The natural cycle of death and rebirth.
The beginning of the cycle of light peaking on the solstice in December.
Saturn and Uranus align. This could be a tense few days. Jupiter and Uranus combine, which could produce something out of the blue.
October’s New Moon in September
The new moon in Libra is on the 29th September. This is the time to be aware of relationships. Looking at what and who inspires you. With aspects combined with Chiron – the wounded healer – you may find healing comes through from someone else. Helping another healing you type of thing.
Get grounded. You may get the urge to clean, create greater harmony and beautify your environment. Attuning to your body. Feeling in for what you need.
In big times of stress, we’re less likely to give to ourselves. Now’s the time it may need a little extra loving. Take the time to have a body treatment or create a self-care routine. In fact if you look at things holistically it’ll pay dividends now.
This is a creative month and an empowering one. Directing our energy in a very potent way.
New habits, new goals, and instinct are powerful now.
Getting organized and decluttering can help to release any pent-up emotions.
You may feel a stop-start energy over the coming months. Even into next year. Watch for and listen to a physiological response from your body to indicate the steps forward. Slow down when the body needs you to.
Not always convenient. You don’t need to be ‘on’ all the time. These dips and spikes in energy can be used to your benefit.
Just like the cavemen. You’re evolving after all.
Except this time, the intention is to remain conscious of it, making all that hard work count.
Until next time
Much flowery love
